Produced on the occasion of Qiu Xiaofei’s 2021 solo exhibition Divination with Pace in New York, this publication focuses on the rich historical, political, cultural, and spiritual allusions in the artist’s paintings.

The artist’s recent show with the gallery took its title from a famous chapter of The Songs of Chu, an ancient Chinese poetry anthology, and a quote from this text is printed on the back cover of the new book.
