Robert Longo: The Acceleration of History

Robert Longo: The Acceleration of History surveys the last ten years of the artist’s powerful charcoal drawings, with a focus on The Destroyer Cycle, a series made in response to the 2014 Black Lives Matter protests in Ferguson, Missouri. Published to accompany the exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Museum, this book includes texts by Margaret Andera, Rashid Johnson, and Tom Teicholz that explore Longo’s engagement with themes of power, violence, dissent and their treatment in U.S. media.
