Robert Mangold: Pentagons and Folded Space

Robert Mangold: Pentagons and Folded Space, Pace Publishing’s sixteenth volume on the artist, presents Mangold’s latest paintings and works on paper, exhibited at Pace in New York in 2025. The works, which are all variations on a five-sided polygon, elaborate upon the paintings and drawings he showed at Pace in New York in 2022 while also reaching back to his earliest experimentations with color and form, symmetry and asymmetry, and notions of wholeness and fragmentation. Included in this volume is a new text by Dieter Schwarz that traces Mangold’s continuous artistic evolution.
